Victoria also specializes in destination wedding coordination to the paradise island of Grand Cayman. “A Splash of Elegance values the event and the day, but we treasure the lifelong relationship with our clients.” Julie Daniel Professional Bridal Consultant™ A bi-lingual (English/Spanish) native Washingtonian, Julie Daniel kindled her love for event planning while working on political campaigns. During this time she gained extensive knowledge of planning fundraisers and campaign events large and small. She brings to her weddings and events a love of decor and design. Julie received her Bachelors in Modern Foreign Languages from James Madison University and is currently pursing her Masters in Interior Design at Marymount University. Her extensive travels throughout Mexico and South America allow Julie to incorporate rich traditions into her weddings and events. Lynn Nelson Professional Bridal Consultant™ Lynn is a compassionate, focused executive with more than 20 years of progressive experience in wedding and event planning. Her attention to detail and customized approach has brought her numerous awards. She has executed business and private events from 25 to 500 attendees and her gracious, calm style is what guests remember. Lynn is also a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology and brings her vast knowledge of couture sewing and garment design to A Splash of Elegance clients. From the reconstruction of a vintage wedding gown into a new bride’s vision, or a bridesmaid dress that mirrors the same design elements as the bridal gown, Lynn provides quality design to every project. Lynn and her husband, John, live in Great Falls, Virginia. Casey Jones Bridal Consultant As a ballet teacher and communications student, Casey always assumed her love for planning and hosting events would remain a mere hobby. However, her unique ability to conceptualize and execute a vision led her to the Splash team. Casey employs her creativity and eye for aesthetics to create unique and jaw dropping events on any budget. She believes that every bride can have her dream wedding with the help of the right event coordinator.		Martha Wiles Professional Bridal Consultant™ Martha was helping friends with their weddings, planning events for non-profits and her community long before the title of Professional existed. Once the opportunity presented itself to be an accredited bridal consultant, Martha was happy to complete the course work. With experience and expertise, a gentle Southern charm, and a history of successful weddings and events, Martha is a premier professional planner for any social gathering. Martha, along with her husband, Tom, owned and operated a successful wedding and event venue in Middle Tennessee before moving back to McLean, Virginia. “Working with people and assisting with the days that are special to them is a joy.” Katie Teague Bridal Consultant As a lifelong resident of the Northern Virginia/DC area, Katie’s passion for event and wedding planning grew after taking several event planning classes at her alma mater, James Madison University. For three years, she dedicated herself to a student-run program board known for planning, marketing, promoting and executing large scale concerts, plus other cultural events and performances on campus featuring many prominent artists. She also had the amazing opportunity to study abroad in London, England where she had a Summer internship at a five-star hotel in the Events Department. It was during her internship when she realized she not only wanted to become a Special Events Coordinator but also a Bridal Consultant, as well. Due to her degree in Communication Studies, her internship abroad, and her three-year commitment to the University Program Board, she is able to bring her knowledge and experience in hospitality and customer service to her career. As a highly motivated event planner, marketer, and public relations representative, she does whatever she can to exceed clients’ expectations and gains a sense of fulfillment from achieving their goals. Marisa Tierney Calligrapher/Custom Invitation Artist Marisa Tierney is an experienced stationer and calligrapher. Born and raised in Washington, DC, she is well versed in all things etiquette and protocol. Marisa attended the Corcoran College of Art Design, Rhode Island School of Design, and Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts. As a graphic designer, her many talents allow for truly custom creations for wedding ensembles and reception pieces. Marisa also creates coat of arms and original motifs for that special day and to be used again for thank you notes and at home cards. She is also a calligrapher and typographer. One could say that Marisa lives for letters. The written word and traditional styles of correspondence and hospitality are her specialty.
